Resistive readout focuses on measuring the change in resistance within the layer structure. It requires a small amount of surface deformation and makes up for the flaws of capacitive sensing when it comes to system stability and inclusive designs. We perfected resistive sensing by introducing our unique TrueZero™ feature.

Hybrid sensing (HFC™) leverages the capacitive part of the architecture to compensate for the shortcomings of resistive sensing: signal drift during static loads, proximity detection and minimal interaction forces. plyon® is a hybrid sensor and turns resistive vs. capacitive into resistive and capacitive. plyon® can also be used as a proximity sensor due to its flexibility in layouting.

DATA & PROCESSING

back to start

Resistive, capacitive, and hybrid sensor signals are preprocessed directly on dedicated sensor readout electronics. The preprocessed data can easily be plotted and interpreted. We provide readout electronics. This way plyon enables its usage as a sensor technology in IoT and opens possibilities for a lean digitalization. For series product with integrated sensors we can connect plyon® to your existing control units/PCBs.
