EDGE DEVICES WITH PLYON® INSIDE

next topic
In physical interaction with the product, each user and each interaction sequence shows a unique and often distinctive force signal pattern in the sensor data. Every conscious and subconscious interaction with a product follows an underlying sequence of movements and surface touchpoints. Those are influenced by designers through selected materials, distinctive surface markings, mechanical, ergonomics and UX design. At tacterion we leverage this know-how to optimally position plyon sensors in the product surface to digitize every interaction that takes place. We use sensor data analytics to process the data that is generated in the edge device and identify characteristic curves to discriminate users from objects such as a human presence detection, to detect intended gestures, or to spot the desired actions. Real time local sensor data processing is utilized to create reliable, safe and intuitive product innovation.

Using tacterion’s technology, any interaction surface can become a smart surface, taking the User Experience to the next level. At the same time designers and developers learn more about the user through tactile memory and can create unique opportunities based on real-life interaction data.

tacterion’s inhouse cloud computing interface “tactile brain” enables the usage of multiple edge devices or demanding machine learning models. The analytics hub is being built to provide the desired information for your use case no matter the complexity of the system.

Combined with data from different sensory inputs like IMUs/gyroscopes, cameras and microphones the system can analyze and validate process steps in real-time. The tactile sensory data generated is being processed by the tactile brain and made accessible utilizing numerous self-sufficient micro services which can be easily administered using the web platform and customer cloud.

The data hub is being developed to monitor and track multiple edge devices or a huge sensor data colection in complex industrial process and system control environments to increase workflow reliability and save money.
